Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted through INWX webhosting. When you access the site, technical server log data may be processed, including IP address, timestamp, requested resource, referrer, browser information and response status. This processing supports secure and reliable operation of the website. The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Retention depends on the hosting configuration and should be confirmed in the INWX account.

Non-binding pledge form

If you submit the pledge form, we process the amount, funding preference, name, email address, optional organization and role, your message, consent confirmation, submission time and a daily salted hash derived from the IP address. We use this information only to respond to your funding interest and document consent. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual communication and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent applies. No payment is collected and the pledge is not legally binding.

Form submissions are delivered by email to Johannes@johannes-benz.de. They should be deleted when the funding conversation ends or when legal retention no longer applies. You may withdraw consent for future processing at any time.

Media and external links

The production version serves its core images and film from the same website. Links to UNICEF, the World Bank and other sources lead to external providers. Their privacy terms apply when you follow those links. Google Fonts are currently loaded from Google servers; this should be reviewed before launch and preferably replaced with locally hosted fonts.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.

Security

The website should be used only over HTTPS. Form inputs are validated server-side and a hidden spam field is used. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
